Why doesn’t the crisis affect us?

In January, I published a text here on the blog about the great success we experiened regarding the opening of Godt Syn's new clinic in Oslo. The customers simply rushed to the clinic!

Fortunately, the success is continuing and we still experience a large customer intake. This in not only true in Oslo. In the first four months of the year we booked more new customers than ever before - and in April we broke the record for the highest number of operated customers within one month since Godt Syn was established in 2006.

Naturally, it is extremely satisfactory to be able to report this succes - but it is still surprising in the middle of the crisis. Despite the fact that an eyeoperation pays off within a short period of time (after a few years, you will save money compared to wearing eyeglasses or contact lenses), one might wonder that there aren't more people who chose to postpone the operation due to economic insecurity in the nearest future.

Can you think of one or several reasons why eyeoperations, which are probably seen as being a luxury good, are not affected by the crisis?

Do you think that our suc cess results from Godt Syn being the least expensive operator on the market or do you think that the market is growing in general and maybe just increase slower than it would have done without the crisis?

Let us know about your opinion here on the blog. We are looking forward to be hearing from you.
